The right features for the right market

This night, I read the following article (http://paulbuchheit.blogspot.com/2010/02/if-your-product-is-great-it-doesnt-need.html), and put it in perspective with my own products (success and failure).
Putting more and more features will not help a poorly designed product, it will damage it and your development budget will go to the roof.
Instead, fix the core, polish it, and see what your potential customer say about it.
Based on these feedbacks, improve your product.
The main lesson I've learned these past 20 years : you never know what your customers wants, just ask them ...
